# Introduction to Functions of Agent Translation Assistant
In order to facilitate the reception of customers in different languages by the agent, we have added a translation assistant function to the agent workbench to assist the agent in communication. It mainly includes two functions:
Translate the text message sent by the customer into the set language
Translate the text content sent by the agent into the set language
Note: this function is a value-added function. You can contact your customer manager to purchase a translation resource package.
# Enable the agent translation assistant function
Find and enable the【Agent Translation Assistant】function in Livechat Agent -> Agent Workbench Settings in the admin backend
# Function Description of Agent Translation Assistant
# ● Set the target language for customer message translation
After the admin enables the translation assistant function, the system will set the translation target language of the translation assistant to the corresponding language of the agent workbench.
# ● Agent Message Translation
Agent can set the translation target language for messages sent by the agent according to the customer's language. The function details are as follows
Translate: translate the content in the message input box to the target language
Replace to input box: replace the translated content to the input box, and then send it after the agent finishes editing
Send: send the translated content directly to the customer
